Myth: Couches are always comfortable.
Fact: On Day 18 my husband & I watch 'Dances With Wolves' (which I've never seen before, and failed to finish) during which he tells me my Indian name is now "Gimp with Wild Hair". I name him "Pusher" (since he is my drug dealer), and he contests--"No, I am 'He who Grabs with both hands'!"..Wow! Really? Ill let you figure that one out, lol.
Myth: Chris doesn't believe in giving me drugs, especially sleeping pills.
Fact: My diet consists of Honey Nut Cheerios & Hot Pockets (bleh)
Myth: Hot Pockets are healthy.
On Day 14: I walked without crutches.
On Day 15: I woke up in extreme pain, burning feeling in all of my toes.
On Day 16: I slept til 4pm, didn't answer my phone, didn't turn on the tv or the computer.
On Day 17: Chris rented lame movies & kept me warm
On Day 18: I slept better (thanks to the Pusher), folded Laundry, and begged for a KitKat bar
On Day 19: I cried. Fashion Week dream crushed. Spent rest of the day watching Michael J. Fox on AMC. Walking is much easier & I took my first shower in 19 days!! (with no help might I add!)
Day 20: finish Valentine's for my nieces & nephews..trying not to go insane because I am so so so so so so so sick of laying down on my back.

Aw Mari! I hope you recover soon. If Linda ever comes and nabs you lemme know so I can come hang out. Even Trev worries about you- he always asks if "Immobile Mari" has gone mobile yet. So get mobile soon! ;) ps better check what kind of drugs "he who grabs with both hands" is giving you... :/
haha. I enjoyed this post
Fact: I hate Dances with Wolves. I think it's a long boring movie. Another fact: you won't need sleeping drugs as long as that movie is around. One last, awful fact: It's Keith's favorite movie.
How was The Bodyguard? Everything you hoped it would be?
you poor thing! my husband is not opposed to giving me sleeping pills either. but a shower and walking? you seem to be making progress! get better soon!
HANG IN THERE...YOU WILL BE UP AND AT IT IN NO TIME :)
Ha, "he who grabs with both hands" hehehehehe! That should be Josh's name theses days. Too bad you have no way to escape either. At least I can run away. I think we should bring fashion week to you since you are no longer able to attend.
MARI! bless your heart. this sounds like the longest month of your life!! poor little gal. i hope you get up and at-em stat!
Seriously, such a creative, clever blog post about such a LONG, drawn out, boring, sad, painful recovery. I hope you are better soon!
Mari, you poor thing! Do you need anything? Please let me know if you do! I'll send you some snail mail to cheer you up. That always helps me. It'll all be worth it in the end! Love ya!
Fact: Dances with Wolves is a good movie Brit!
Myth: My son is a drug pusher.
Fact: I had fun taking you to lunch and hope you are 100% very soon.
