This Weekend

Lets GO DODGERS!!

We met up with Deluxxe, and his wife Traci for a Dodger game on Friday.

At the game, my suspicions were confirmed, Mari is bad luck. Minutes after Mari arrived at the game, the Dodgers fell behind by 3 runs. Then, for 5 innings, the score remained unchanged. Then, in the 6th, Mari left to use the restroom. The bad luck charm, having left, allowed the dodgers to score 4 runs and take a 4-3 lead. Mari returned, and the Dodgers didn't score another run. So the moral of the story is: Mari must watch the game from the tv's in the bathroom.

On a brighter note, we ate lots of Dodger Dogs!

Then, on Saturday, Mari ran a 1o-mile race. Lets just say that she is very fast, finishing the race (with 4 miles of hills) in 90 minutes.

Plus, my gazelle of a wife isnt even sore today, which I dont understand--I am sore after walking a block.

Our friend Kevin also ran, finishing 2nd in his age group.

While the 2 speedsters ran, I relaxed at the beach and took pictures.

Wow! Congrats to mari and Kevin for doing so well in the race! And of course, to you Chris for waiting and taking pictures... that is a very important job as well son! My advice for the day??? Stay away from Dodger Dogs!

hahaha, chris you are funny. and linda and mari you two are crazy! dodger dogs are the best! even if you do have to sell your first born to be able to afford one. although i heard they are lowering the price on a lot of items at d stadium. including beer. which i'm sure will come in handy.

congrats on your run mari! you really are a gazelle. and tell that kevin to stop stalking you.

first off, be nice to mari, she is good luck! secondly, even if i ran 30 miles a day, i don't think i'd ever have legs like hers. Way to go on the race Mari!

Mari you are a machine! But maybe it is better that all of us never ended up at that Laker game b/c there is no place for bad luck there, and it wouldn't have been fair to make you stay in the bathroom all game. At least then you wouldn't see us eating our trad'l sport junk food... it's bad luck not to! ;)

What a fun weekend! I am so proud of you Mari. You are a machine. I can't wait for the day we can run together, even though you'll kick my trash.

Great job Mari!! You would have been waiting for Bret and I at the finish line for who knows how long. I am glad that you said it was hard, that made missing out a little less of a bummer. You look awesome, I know you work out like a mad woman. Is there a bod-like-Mari class I can attend?
